DESCRIPTION:Lombard Park District wants you to join us in making a differen
 ce in people’s lives this fall! Did you know\, “five percent of childr
 en in Lombard live at or below poverty level?” (city-data.com). The Lomb
 ard Park District is hosting their annual Trick-or-Treat Food Drive on Sat
 urday\, October 19 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Help us help others in our c
 ommunity by participating in this great opportunity to give back! The Lomb
 ard Park District staff and volunteers are assigned a new area each year t
 o collect canned and boxed foods to be donated to The Lombard/Villa Park F
 ood Pantry. “This year staff and volunteers are assigned neighborhoods n
 ear Manor Hill Elementary and the Log Cabin at Four Seasons” said Progra
 m Manager\, Katie Manheim. “We will be dropping bags at each door the we
 ek before and picking up the filled bags at their doorsteps on Saturday\, 
 October 19.”” For those not in those neighborhoods\, bags will be avai
 lable for pick up at Madison Meadow Athletic Center (500 E. Wilson) and Su
 nset Knoll Recreation Center (820 S. Finley) and can then be filled and dr
 opped off at either location or at the Log Cabin at Four Seasons on the mo
 rning of the Food Drive. Items in need include boxed pasta\, rice\, tomato
  sauce\, canned fruit\, juice\, or canned prepared food. Take a visit to y
 our local grocery store or see what’s in your pantry and help make a dif
