Common Grounds Vibe Cafe Celebrates Remix Party

The Lombard Chamber of Commerce welcomed Common Grounds Vibe Cafe to downtown Lombard on Tuesday, October 13, with a ribbon cutting Remix Party at the cafe's new home, 22 W. St. Charles Rd.

Chamber members, community leaders and neighbors gathered for an afternoon of music, local art and BOGO drinks, and the celebration also kicked off the cafe's fall book drive.

Since 2016, Common Grounds has been a place where anyone can get inspired. After building a following among students, musicians and artists in DeKalb, the family-owned cafe relocated to downtown Lombard, where owner Jeffery Foster hopes it will become an open studio for creative collaboration. The menu keeps it local, featuring coffee from a Lombard roastery and treats from Lombard Prairie Co-Op, all just across from the Metra station.
