Be a stakeholder in your community
As a Chamber member, you're not just investing in your business; you're investing in Lombard's future. Your involvement ensures that the Chamber continues to serve as a valuable resource for businesses, residents, and the entire community.
Serve on the Board of Directors
Board members play a crucial role in decision-making and Chamber governance, help set strategic direction and priorities, advocate for business and community development, and build strong relationships with fellow local leaders.
Applicants must have been Lombard Chamber members in good standing for at least one year. Board terms are two consecutive years, with an option to extend for another two years or move to the Executive Committee and extend the term another two years. Meetings are held in person once a month at the Chamber office, additional meetings may be called by the Board Chair, and each Board member chairs or co-chairs an event committee.
Join a committee
Committees are the backbone of the Chamber, helping to plan events, develop programs, and support local businesses.
- Events & Programs Committee: plan and execute networking events, ribbon cuttings, and major Chamber initiatives.
- Membership Engagement Committee: recruit new members and retain existing members by providing meaningful opportunities for involvement.
- Marketing & Communications Committee: promote Chamber activities, social media outreach, and community engagement.
Attend and sponsor events
Attend networking mixers, luncheons, and educational workshops; sponsor an event to showcase your business; or host a ribbon-cutting ceremony or business after-hours event.
Volunteer your expertise
If you have skills in marketing, finance, leadership, or community outreach, share your expertise by mentoring another member, leading a workshop, or assisting with special projects.
