Now Searching for 47th ''Lombard Woman of the Year''

LOMBARD, Illinois—The search has begun for Lombard's 47th “Woman of the
Year,” sponsored by the Lombard Service League. Local residents, businesses and organizations are invited to honor a distinguished Lombard woman for her time, talents and service to benefit others in the community.
Achievements for all nominees may include service to family, church or
organizations. Individuals and groups are encouraged to submit letters of nomination in accordance with the following rules:
- The nominee must reside at a Lombard mailing address.
- Letters of nomination must not exceed 500 words.
- The names, addresses and telephone numbers of both nominee and the name of the person making the nomination must be included with the letter of nomination.
- Entries must be postmarked by Friday, March 21, 2011.
The judging of the Lombard Woman of the Year will be done by several prominent
Lombard citizens. The decision of the judges is final.

The 2010 Woman of the Year will be announced and introduced on Thursday, April
14, 2011, at 7 p.m. during the Lombard Service League's monthly meeting at Lexington Square. This special meeting will be attended by past Women of the Year recipients, as well as past presidents of the club.
