Community Memorial Site for William ''Bill'' Mueller Fundraising Begins

LOMBARD, Illinois—Fundraising efforts have begun for a community memorial site dedicated
to Lombard’s late Village President, William “Bill” Mueller. The “Community Memorial Site for William
'Bill” Mueller' will be located on the property of the Lombard Historical Museum at 23 W. Maple
Street. The tribute has been designed as a permanent garden-like gathering place for residents and
visitors and will feature a Victorian-style gazebo.
A group of citizens wishing to honor Mueller for his many contributions to the community
initiated the project in the fall of 2012. It is estimated that the total cost will be approximately $30,000
and will be funded entirely by private donations. A website and a West Suburban Bank account have
been established to accept tax-deductible donations exclusively for use on this project.
